Manchester United manager Jose Maourinho warned Premier League sides about early closing of Transfer Window.
As a result Jose and Pep Guardiola’s club Manchester United and Manchester City voted against the early Transfer window closing.
This week, top-flight clubs voted in favor of the decision. Therefore, the per-season transfer window will stay close. It will open again before the 2018-19 campaign starts.
The 54-year-old manager understands the decision of Old Trafford board for voting against it. So, he admits that there is a risk of being unable to replace players who move to foreign clubs after the English deadline.
“My thoughts are from a coach point of view”, he said on Friday. “Obviously I am in favor of early closure because then i can focus on training only“. “I want to have my squad and work with them on pre-season, I don’t want to wait on late decisions”.
Finally, Manchester United and Manchester City voted against the proposal. Hence, Swansea City, Watford and Crystal Palace joined them.
